8 Tips for Leading a Successful Retreat

1) Build a loyal student following so that 10 of your students will sign-up.
2) Pick a time of the year that your students will most likely want to travel.
3) Pick a destination that your students will like and can afford.
4) Reserve a retreat property at least 4 months in advance. If you want to travel during the high season of January to April, it’s best to plan 9-12 months in advance to ensure availability.
5) Follow the marketing check list from Yoga Sherpa.
6) Travel somewhere close and affordable your first retreat such as Costa Rica, Guatemala, or Mexico for teachers from the U.S. or Canada.
7) Plan 2 yoga classes per day along with some morning meditations or evening kirtans.
